Your privacy is important to me.
Personal and health information is collected only where necessary to arrange appointments, provide safe clinical care, maintain appropriate records, process payments and meet professional or legal requirements.
Clinical information is stored securely and treated confidentially in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.
Emma Smith Ears uses systems including Cliniko for clinical records and Wix for website and/or booking functions.
You have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access to information held about you.

Appointments & Booking
A £15 payment is taken when you book to secure your appointment.
This payment covers your initial ear consultation and examination and forms part of the total cost if further treatment or assessment is provided.
If you need to cancel or rearrange, please provide at least 4 hours' notice wherever reasonably possible.
Late cancellations and missed appointments will normally result in the £15 booking payment being retained.
Exceptional circumstances will always be considered individually.
 
Consent to Treatment
Before examination or treatment, I will explain what I propose to do and give you the opportunity to ask questions.
You can change your mind, ask me to pause or stop treatment at any time.
Microsuction and instrumentation are commonly used procedures but, as with any clinical procedure, there are potential risks. Relevant risks and individual considerations will be discussed before treatment where appropriate.
 
Complaints & Feedback
I aim to provide a professional, safe and caring service.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of your appointment or treatment, please contact me. I will take your concerns seriously and aim to resolve them fairly and appropriately.
Making a complaint will not affect the care or service you receive.
